LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — Javan White scored 18 points and pulled down 20 rebounds — career bests in both and his second straight double-double — as Oral Roberts held off Arkansas-Little Rock 74-66 in double overtime on Saturday.
Albert Owens led the Golden Eagles (2-7) with 19 points, R.J. Fuqua added a career-high 15 and Emmanuel Nzekwesi 10.
White was especially active in the second overtime where Little Rock missed seven of eight shots. White had a steal, a basket and collared five of his 16 defensive rebounds in the second OT and Oral Roberts made just enough free throws, 4 of 8, to secure the win.
Andre Jones led Little Rock (2-6) with 25 points, tying his career best, and Anthony Black added 14, but the Trojans were 28-for-77 from the field (36 percent) and made 10 fewer free throws than Oral Roberts, converting 6 of 11.
In a see-saw game, the Golden Eagles led 23-18 at the half but trailed 33-27 as Little Rock rallied with a 6-0 run capped by a Black 3-pointer. The lead went back and forth from there and each team missed shots in the last 16 seconds to go to overtime, tied 54-54.
