BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (AP) — The Latest on a police shooting at a California hospital (all times local):

8:10 p.m.

Police say a suspect was the only person shot during an incident at a hospital in Bakersfield, California.

Police said Friday in a Facebook post that officers have searched Bakersfield Heart Hospital and determined no one else had been shot.

They said earlier that they had responded to a report of a shooting and the hospital was locked down.

The investigation is ongoing and police provided no other details.

Police say there's been a shooting at a hospital in Bakersfield, California, and a suspect has been shot by police.

Police say in a Facebook post Friday that officers are investigating the shooting at Bakersfield Heart Hospital.

Investigators say the hospital is on lockdown and officers are checking for other potential threats.

Police provided no other information.

A woman who answered the phone at the hospital hung up.
