(KSL News) A Salt Lake woman will spend a year in jail for doing nothing to stop her boyfriend from abusing her 2-year-old daughter.
During sentencing yesterday, Amy Roberts apologized for her behavior and told the judge she "screwed up."
Roberts' boyfriend, Derrick Lee Crispin, has already pleaded guilty to felony child abuse. Prosecutors said he beat the young girl and burned her with chemicals.
The child is now in the custody of her father.
