(KSL News) One of five people arrested in connection with the beating death of a West Jordan man may not be charged with any crime.
Prosecutors say Makasini Lomu was present while four others beat and tortured Jay Wolfinjer, but only at the very end. They say she had no knowledge of what was going on and left as soon as she found out.
Lomu is the wife of one of the other suspects charged in the case, Pailate Lomu. He and the others remain in jail charged with murder and aggravated kidnapping.
