OGDEN, Utah (AP) -- A woman working for the Internal Revenue Service is under federal investigation over a complaint that she defrauded the Ogden Housing Authority out of more than $25,000 in rental assistance.
Ogden Housing Authority special programs Manager Lin Fulcher won't identify the woman because the investigation is ongoing.
Fulcher says the investigation began when the housing authority found out the woman had falsified information about her income for three years. Fulcher says the woman told the housing authority she had been laid off from her IRS job, even though she was actually working.
