DENVER (AP) -- A Utah man who pleaded guilty to luring a 12-year-old Colorado girl over the Internet to have sex faces more than 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
U.S. Attorney Troy Eid said Tuesday that 32-year-old Lennon Park of Salt Lake City pleaded guilty to using a computer with Internet access to entice a child. Park remains in federal custody and is to be sentenced Jan. 23.
According to the plea agreement, Park contacted the girl on the Internet in January 2004 and told her he wanted to meet her in Glenwood Springs to have sex.
The FBI, Glenwood Springs police, the Utah Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and Utah's West Valley City Police Department investigated the case.
