JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) — The Teton County emergency manager is concerned about cellphone service during the Aug. 21 solar eclipse because of the thousands of extra visitors expected in the Jackson Hole region in northwest Wyoming. Rich Ochs says Jackson's cell service lacks even without thousands of additional people in town.

CASPER, Wyo. (AP) — Wyoming has brought in $14 million from an oil and gas lease sale. The Casper Star-Tribune reports the online auction was between 60 participants with 134 square miles of state land leased for oil and gas development.

LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) — A Wyoming man accused of sexually abusing a Laramie teen has been sentence to prison time. The Laramie Boomerang reports 51-year-old Kenneth Lovato will serve between 36-40 years in prison for two counts of second-degree sexual abuse of a minor. He pleaded guilty in a last-minute plea agreement before he stood trial.

ROCK SPRINGS, Wyo. (AP) — Police in southwest Wyoming say new information has led them to search a home for evidence connected to the unsolved 2006 death of a Colorado hitchhiker. The Sweetwater County Sheriff's Office says detectives are processing a Rock Springs residence for evidence.
