SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Salt Lake City police have identified a man who was riding a motor scooter and died after a collision with a car over the weekend.
Police say 41-year-old Richard Waskiewicz was riding the scooter in Salt Lake City's Sugar House neighborhood on Saturday night when he crashed into a car that was turning left.
Waskiewicz was taken to a hospital and later pronounced dead.
Salt Lake City Police Sgt. Brandon Shearer says officers are still investigating the cause of the crash, and whether any charges are warranted.
