SALT LAKE CITY — Mormon pioneers reached the Salt Lake Valley on July 24, 1847. Since then it has steadily grown over time with many towns, cities and neighborhoods.

Some of them have interesting stories behind their names. There are a few cities inspired from the nation's founding fathers, while others were inspired by Native American tribes, explorers, pioneers, natural features and even from the Book of Mormon.

Do you know the history behind some of these places?
