SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Authorities say two people are dead after their small plane crashed south of Salt Lake City.
Police say the small craft went down in Butterfield Canyon on Thursday morning.
Unified Police of Salt Lake County say the wreckage was located by a helicopter near Herriman, about 30 miles south of Salt Lake City.
The cause of the crash is under investigation. Additional information on the two people who died was not immediately released.
