Denney added that he would be fine if there were no limits on campaign contributions because courts have consistently ruled that government can't restrict the public's First Amendment rights.

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Local police and the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare are investigating allegations that seven residents at a state-run treatment center for the severely disabled were neglected and physically and psychologically abused. Department officials didn't release details of the allegations at the Southwest Idaho Treatment Center in Nampa, but said implicated employees have been placed on paid leave. The Nampa Police Department has five active investigations at the center.

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Judge David Nye is Idaho's new U.S. District Court judge after being unanimously confirmed by the U.S. Senate on Wednesday. Nye was first nominated for the role in 2016 and re-nominated after President Donald Trump took office. Nye has worked as a judge in Idaho's 6th District courts for nine years and previously had a private practice focusing on insurance law and medical malpractice litigation.
