CLEARFIELD — A semitruck incident on I-15 impacted northbound traffic near Clearfield and caused a hazmat situation on Sunday.

At 12:26 p.m. a semitruck fell off the road on I-15 near 650 North, according to officials from the Utah Department of Transportation.

Two lanes of traffic were temporarily closed, but opened again at about 1:40 p.m.

Troopers said there was some sort of hazmat situation as a result of the semi driving off the road, Utah Highway Patrol trooper Cameron Roden said.

Troopers did not know what caused the semi to drive off the road, Roden said. The driver suffered minor injuries in the crash, he said.
