MIDVALE — One man is in critical condition and another is in poor condition following an early morning shooting.

Just after midnight Saturday, the Unified Police Department responded to a shooting at 7785 S. Main Street, where they found two 18-year-old men had been shot.

"There was a confrontation, and a person pulled out a gun and fired multiple rounds, striking two victims," Unified Police Lt. Brian Lohrke said.

Lohrke said the victims were transported to the Intermountain Medical Center in critical and poor conditions.

Police are looking for four suspects riding in a black Volkswagen Beetle, Lohrke said.

Lohrke said the Metro Gang Unit and members of the Violent Crimes Unit were part of the response, and police are looking to see if the shooting was gang-related.

"That's what we believe, but I'm not sure if the victims are very cooperative," Lohrke said.
