SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- A local church will step in as a polling location in place of the Hogle Zoo.

Salt Lake County Council members had expressed concern about using the zoo location because a $33 million bond the zoo wants voters to pass is on the ballot.

The Second Church of Christ has agreed to accept the two precincts and about 1,400 voters on Nov. 4.

Salt Lake County Clerk Sherrie Swensen says she is glad to have found a location that doesn't create any perceptions of bias.

Other candidates for the new polling location included a mortuary and This Is the Place monument.
