(KSL News) Volunteers came out of the woodwork in Kearns today. They worked throughout the day to give hundreds of kids a safe place to play.
The volunteers assembled a brightly-colored playground near 4800 South and 4300 West in just one day. They hauled in 170 cubic yards of mulch and mixed 30,000 pounds of concrete to do it.
But the kids didn't shirk their work. They provided the drawings on which the playground is based.
