(KSL News) A Salt Lake SWAT team tonight saved a man from being beaten to death by at least four assailants.
Police received a tip from someone saying a man was being held against his will inside a Salt Lake machine shop at 344 W. Paxton Ave. and was about to be killed.
Police attending a nearby SWAT school went into the building and found a severely beaten man gagged and bound inside a car.
He's in critical condition. Police believe he would have been killed if not for their quick arrival.
Police are questioning eight people who were inside the building.
