We all know Deron Williams is Utah's point guard of the future. The question is: Who will be his primary backup?

New point guard Brevin Knight isn't worried so much about playing time. He's more worried about winning.

Knight has been around the NBA block a time or two or nine. Knight is 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs 170 pounds. He was traded this offseason for Jason Hart. This is his eleventh season with his ninth team. He comes in with a career average of eight points and nearly seven assists per game.

"It feels good. It feels real good," said Knight. "I've been playing with them for about 10 days and we've had a great time. Now it's time to get to work and do the real thing."

Last year, Ronnie Price earned the backup spot behind Williams. Despite the battle for minutes, Price is glad to have Knight on board.

"It's not a competition, we're teammates. He's new, we're going to help him learn the plays and sets and we're going to help each other, said Price. "I'm going to cheer him on ad he's going to cheer me on and we're trying to accomplish one thing."

Knight added, "Of course we're going to compete. We wouldn't be here if we weren't competitive but this is not a Brevin versus Ronnie thing and I won't let it become that."

Kyle Korver said, "He's one of the only guys that spoke up in our team meeting. It's a great addition."

The Jazz are in the afternoon practice. Carlos Boozer and Williams are practicing just once a day since they were playing in the Olympics just five weeks ago.
