The Jazz are getting ready for their afternoon practice here in Boise. Word has it Carlos Boozer and Deron Williams may sit this one out. I know Jerry Sloan doesn't want the two to get too fatigued since they are just five weeks out from winning gold in Beijing and the season is a long one. We'll know more at about 6:00.

I spoke with C.J. Miles this morning about coming back to Utah. The Jazz matched an offer from Oklahoma City for four years and $15 million. Not bad for a 21 year old that, if he went to college, would be a senior! I know some were surprised the Jazz matched the offer, but C.J. told me he's excited to be back with "a young talented team."

It should be interesting to see if C.J. can get more minutes at the two-guard position. Like last year, the off-guard spot is loaded. Ronnie Brewer started the season at that position, but it'll be interesting to see if Kyle Korver can win the job. Brewer is a better defender and very athletic, Korver a better shooter.

And unlike last year Korver will be here through all of camp leading up to the season.
