GREENBELT, Md. (AP) — A federal judge in Seattle has ruled that his order blocking President Donald Trump's original travel ban does not apply to the revised executive order. Today's ruling by Judge James Robart comes a day after a federal judge in Hawaii blocked Trump's new executive order. It would've suspended new visas for people from six predominantly Muslim countries and halted the U.S. refugee program. Robart noted that Washington and several other states have also asked him to block the revised ban. He said he would rule on that request later.

MEXICO CITY (AP) — The Mexican government has signed an agreement with a private organization to provide thousands of jobs for repatriated citizens as the United States moves to boost deportations of immigrants in that country illegally. The Interior ministry says 22 associations that make up the organization known as ASUME will work to offer as many as 50,000 jobs. The initiative aims to take advantage of the skills and knowledge of deportees.

WASHINGTON (AP) — According to documents released today by a Democratic congressman, former national security adviser Michael Flynn was paid more than $67,000 by Russian companies before the presidential election. Rep. Elijah Cummings of Maryland asked the Trump administration to provide a comprehensive record of Flynn's contacts with foreign governments and interests. About half of the money came from Russia's government-run television system for appearing at a Moscow event in December. Flynn was fired last month for what the

NEW YORK (AP) — Police say an emergency medical technician in New York City has died after she was run over by a stolen ambulance. Authorities say two ambulance workers were hit by the vehicle moments after it was taken in the Bronx. One EMT remains in critical condition at Jacobi Hospital. Video posted on Twitter by a bystander shows the ambulance speeding across an intersection with one of its doors open and the body of one of the EMTs being dragged beneath the vehicle. The driver was arrested.

TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) — Adoption officials in Kansas say there has been an overwhelming response for their effort to place five foster care siblings in a single home. The children, ages 2-to-11, were featured last weekend in a Kansas City Star story. The list of two sisters and three brothers has been taken down by the group AdoptKSKids.org after its email box was jammed with 1,500 responses. The children are currently in separate facilities. It's hoped they can be kept together in Kansas.
