KIMBERLY, Idaho — Police are investigating after a fatal four-vehicle accident near Kimberly, Idaho, Monday afternoon.

The accident occurred at 3375 E. 3700 North around 3:45 p.m., according to Idaho State police. Adam Christensen, 40, of Twin Falls, Idaho, was driving a 2003 Peterbilt semitrailer eastbound on 3700 North. He sideswiped a Ford Explorer that was towing a 2004 Ford pickup traveling westbound and then also sideswiped the Ford pickup, police said.

Christensen then collided head-on with a Dodge Ram pickup traveling westbound on 3700 North, police said. Ernestine Bill, 66, of Kimberly, Idaho, was driving the westbound pickup and died at the scene.

It was not immediately released if the other three drivers were injured in the collision. The cause of the accident has not yet been determined and Idaho State police are investigating.

The road was closed for seven hours during the cleanup and investigation.
