NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (AP) — Richmond forward T.J. Cline has been voted the Atlantic 10's player of the year and Dayton coach Archie Miller is the coach of the year.
The league also announced Tuesday head coaches also selected Rhode Island's Hassan Martin as the top defender for the second year in a row and Richmond's De'Monte Buckingham as the top rookie. George Mason's Marquise Moore was voted the most improved player and Dayton's Kyle Davis was selected as the sixth man of the year.
Cline averaged 18.6 points, 8.1 rebounds and 5.7 assists, all ranking among the top five in the league. He and Buckingham became just the third teammates, and first since 1988, to sweep player and rookie of the year.
Miller guided the Flyers (24-6, 15-3) to their second straight regular season title.
