LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) — Colton Weisbrod scored 32 points on 12-of-15 shooting, including eight straight in a late game-breaking run, and Lamar beat McNeese State 90-83 in Saturday's season finale.

Nick Garth scored 14 points, Joey Frenchwood had 12, and Christian Albright 10 for the Cardinals (18-13, 10-8), who locked down the No. 6 seed in next week's Southland Conference Tournament.

Down 16 (55-39) early in the second half, McNeese State rallied on a 21-8 run and closed to 63-60 on Jacob Ledoux's jumper with 9:09 to play. Weisbrod scored eight straight amid a 12-0 run capped by Frenchwood's dunk and the Cardinals led 87-76 with 1:17 left.

Lamar shot 31 for 55 (56.4 percent) against 29 for 55 (53.7) for the Cowboys. The Cardinals controlled the glass with a 32-24 advantage.

Jamaya Burr scored 21 points for the Cowboys (7-22, 4-14), who have lost eight straight.
