PHILADELPHIA (AP) — B.J. Johnson scored 19 points and La Salle beat Fordham 66-54 in a regular season finale for both teams on Saturday.
The win snaps a three-game slide for the Explorers (15-14, 9-9) and positions them as the No. 7 seed in the Atlantic 10 Conference Tournament.
Jordan Price and Demetrius Henry sank back-to-back jumpers to put the Explorers on top for good late in the first half and they had a 25-22 edge at the break.
Cleon Roberts hit a pair of 3-pointers early in the second half and Henry followed that with a dunk to boost La Salle's lead to 42-33 with 13:16 to play. Jumpers by Price and Johnson followed to make it 46-33 with 10:47 left and the Explorers led by double figures the rest of the way.
Roberts finished with 11 points and Price added 10 points and nine rebounds.
Joseph Chartouny led the Rams (13-18, 7-11) with 17 points.
