GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) — Chloe Jackson had her second career double-double, Ayana Mitchell scored 14 with seven rebounds and No. 7 seed LSU beat Mississippi 65-49 in the Southeastern Conference Tournament on Thursday night.

Jackson finished with 22 points and a career-high 14 rebounds and Raigyne Moncrief scored 10 for LSU (20-10). The Tigers will play sixth-ranked and second-seeded Mississippi State in the quarterfinals on Friday.

Madinah Muhammad's layup pulled Mississippi within nine with 7:50 to play but Jackson scored the next six points and LSU led by double figures the rest of the way.

Manuel had 19 points on 7-of-12 shooting for Ole Miss (17-13) and Muhammad scored 12. The Rebels, who have lost three in a row, shot 22.6 percent, including 1 of 10 from 3-point range, and hit just 4 of 11 free throws in the second half.

LSU, which trailed throughout the first half, was 12-of-21 shooting (57.1 percent) after halftime.
