Morrison's hot hand lifts Army to 73-62 win over Boston

WEST POINT, N.Y. (AP) — Luke Morrison scored 19 points on 7-for-8 shooting, including making all five of his 3-pointers, and Jordan Fox scored 15 points to lead Army past Boston 73-62 on Wednesday night.

Boston's Tyler Scanlon hit a layup to tie the score at 60 with 4:37 left, but Army (12-17, 6-11 Patriot League) went on a 10-0 run. Fox started it with a jumper, Morrison buried two 3-pointers and Matthew Wilson added a layup for a 70-60 lead with just more than two minutes left.

Boston shot 1-for-6 after Scanlon's layup.

The Black Knights led 38-36 at halftime and never trailed after the break to win its third straight.

Wilson scored 12 points on 5-for-7 shooting. Jacob Kessler corralled eight rebounds for Army while Morrison, Wilson, Mac Hoffman, and Kennedy Wilson each collected seven boards. Army owned a 45-29 rebounding advantage.

Eric Fanning was the only Boston (16-13, 11-6) player in double figures with 19 points.
