Don't be surprised if you happen to catch a few people walking around saying things like, "Arrrgg," or "Walk the plank!" After all, it is international Talk Like a Pirate Day.
Today it's perfectly proper to walk up to someone and say, "Arrrgg, what ye be doing?" But let's be honest; some people talk better pirate than others.
The international Talk Like a Pirate Day started with a couple of guys having fun in 1995. Then a newspaper columnist wrote about it, and now people actually celebrate it around the world.
One woman said of her friends, "They talk like pirates all day, and they dress up."
