(KSL News) -- Police say a 28-year-old Payson man would've pulled off a computer heist at Costco if he hadn't forgotten about one thing.
According to the police report, the man found a toy rocker packaged in a box large enough to hold the Gateway computer he'd picked out. He placed the computer in the toy's box.
An employee found the empty computer box and boxless toy rocker and figured that theft had taken place.
From there, it was a simple matter of checking the computerized inventory system to see that only one toy rocker had been sold in the last week.
Armed with the suspect's name and address, detectives went to his home in Payson and recovered the stolen computer and arrested the hapless thief.
