LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — Kemy Osse drilled a 3-point jumper to give Arkansas-Little Rock the lead in overtime and the Trojans held off Louisiana Monroe for a 79-75 victory on Saturday.
UALR (10-4, 1-0), opened defense of its Sun Belt Conference title with the win.
ULM was ahead 52-42 midway in the second half, but the Trojans stormed back to take the lead. UALR had a 22-8 run capped by Osse's trey at the 3:46 mark to give the Trojans a 64-60 lead.
Louisiana-Monroe's Sam McDaniel drilled a trey to tie the game at 67 with 39 seconds left which took it into the extra period.
Maurius Hill had 18 points for the Trojans and Jalen Jackson was 6 of 11 from the floor for 14 points.
UALR hit 50 percent from the floor while limiting the Warhawks to 24-of-59 shooting.
Travis Munnings led ULM (6-8, 0-1) with 22 points and McDaniel added 20.
