ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — The 12-2 Cowboys and Lions wrap up the NFL's holiday weekend tonight in a game whose outcome is important only to Detroit. The Lions can wrap up a playoff spot with a win, but will still have a chance to win the NFC North title next week at Green Bay regardless of tonight's results. Dallas has already clinched the NFC East and home field advantage throughout the playoffs.

MIAMI (AP) — The Dolphins have earned the final AFC playoff spot by virtue of Kansas City's win over Denver last night. It's the first post-season berth for 10-5 Miami in six years and comes in Adam Gase's first season as head coach.

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) — The Cavaliers may give LeBron James the night off when they visit the Pistons tonight. The Cleveland star played 41 minutes yesterday in the one-point win over Golden State. The Eastern Conference-leading Cavs take a five-game winning streak into the game.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Toronto has traveled under the radar while ringing up a 21-8 record heading into tonight's road game at Portland. The Atlantic Division-leading Raptors are the only team in the NBA without a double digit loss this season. Toronto has won six straight road games.

NEW YORK (AP) — Charlotte visits the Nets tonight, having lost four of its last five road games. The Southeast Division-leading Hornets have won three in a row to open a two-game lead over second-place Atlanta. The Nets have lost five straight to fall into a last-place tie with Philadelphia in the Eastern Conference.
