CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) — Tre' McLean had 14 points and 10 rebounds for his second double-double of the season and Chattanooga led wire-to-wire in a 73-57 victory over Jacksonville State on Wednesday.
Chattanooga scored the first nine points and held an 11-point lead at halftime. The second half started in a similar way as the Mocs scored 10 straight — with six from Justin Tuoyo — to extend their advantage to 47-26. The lead didn't dip below 14 points after that and the Mocs led by as many as 29.
McLean, Greg Pryor and Johnathan Burroughs-Cook each made two 3-pointers and finished with 14 points apiece for Chattanooga (9-3). The Mocs were 9 of 19 from distance to conclude their non-conference schedule.
Malcolm Drumwright led Jacksonville State (7-7) with 14 points and eight rebounds. The Gamecocks, which had won two straight road games, have seven wins prior to New Year's Day for the first time since the 2013-14 season.
