(KSL News) An LDS missionary killed in an accident last year in the state of Washington was honored today in Salt Lake City.
Twenty-one-year-old Elder William Angilau died last year after being hit be a car while riding his bike. One of the boys in his ward wanted to honor Elder Angilau, so he decided to collect money for a flag pole and plaque as part of his Eagle Scout project.
It took several months, but today the final project was unveiled at the church Elder Angilau attended before his mission.
Eduardo Fuenzalida said, "I'm just grateful I've done this, and Angilau is looking upon us and happy we did this. This will be in memory and in our hearts forever."
During the ceremony, the group raised a U.S. flag that was flown in the Seattle Washington Mission.
