This is Fred Ball for Zions Bank, speaking on business.
For many years, Jim and Cheryl Nyland operated a feed store and gas station in Moab. Eventually, they decided they wanted to change their business.
As life-long residents of the area, they had observed there was a lack of affordable, family-friendly restaurants that served breakfast, lunch and dinner. Many served lunch and dinner, but the locals had really no place to go to grab a cup of coffee, sit down and read the morning paper, and have breakfast before heading off to work.
So Jim and Cheryl opened the Stagecoach Grill in September 2004 to remedy this situation. As the name suggests, the Stagecoach Grill has a Western theme. Most of the décor is wood and reminiscent of an old, Western saloon.
The food is traditional American with a Western flair and menu items like the popular "bandit" cheeseburger with jalapenos and French dip sandwiches.
The Stagecoach caters to a broad array of people. Throughout the restaurant are five television sets that show sports, news and other popular programming.
Each Friday and Saturday night, patrons can show off their singing talent at the karaoke microphone.
The Stagecoach has also become a popular location for Christmas parties. In fact, after its first successful Christmas last year, it already has Christmas parties booked for this year.
Gayle Stevenson, the manager of the Stagecoach Grill, tells me the restaurant is quickly becoming a favorite among the locals, who comprise the base of its clientele.
Gayle is optimistic that the new restaurant will continue to grow in popularity as more people come to know and love the friendly atmosphere and great, affordable food.
Jim and Cheryl are both very much involved in the restaurant, spending time there nearly every day or night. They know and love their customers.
For Zions Bank, I'm Fred Ball. I'm speaking on business.
