JERSEY CITY, N.J. (AP) — Quadir Welton scored 18 points and Trevis Wyche added 17 more to lead Saint Peter's to an 84-70 win over Manhattan on Sunday.

Antwon Portley had 15 points on 6-of-7 shooting, including a pair of 3-pointers, and Samuel Idowu got 10 points for Saint Peter's (4-3, 1-1 Metro Atlantic). Welton and Wyche hit a combined 19 of 29 from the line.

The Peacocks shot 54 percent from the field and took control with an 18-4 run stretching across both sides of the intermission to make it 54-30 with 14:05 left. Portley had a 3-pointer and two jumpers in the breakaway run.

Manhattan (2-6, 0-2) edged into an early 5-4 lead with Calvin Crawford's 3-pointer less than five minutes into the game, but fell behind for good on Saint Peter's next possession.

Zavier Turner led the Jaspers with 30 points, while Aaron Walker Jr. and Thomas Capuano had 10 points apiece.
