Bountiful High School is making sure dirty dancing doesn't become the rule with a new permission slip.

Bountiful High School Principal Ryck Astle says they aren't making the dance standards tougher, they're just making sure parents are absolutely clear when it comes to what is allowed and what isn't.

He says, "For the policy, we've always had a paper that goes to the parents, and hopefully it's a communication tool."

All the students have been sent home with a paper outlining what is approved movement and dress on the dance floor, and the parents have to sign and return the paper or the student doesn't dance.

"Obviously some of our kids won't be going to this first dance," Astle says.

So with the signed paper policy, students no longer have the "I didn't know I couldn't do that freaky dance or wear those types of clothes excuse."
