SALT LAKE CITY — George Hill will miss Thursday night's game against the Miami Heat after spraining his left big toe, according to the Utah Jazz.
Quin Snyder said the injury happened late in the game Tuesday against the Houston Rockets. Dante Exum will "probably" get the start in Hill's absence, according to Snyder.
"That's probably what we'll decide," Snyder said. "I feel like with our second group right now, scoring is something that's important."
"For Dante, I think it's a really good opportunity to start the game. He's out there with Gordon as well."
Hill attended today's shootaround with a walking boot on his left foot, though was in good spirits while talking to Jazz players and coaches. He also attended last night's BYU vs. Utah State contest at Vivint Arena.
Snyder said he didn't know when Hill would be back. "It's a tough injury. It's like having your right thumb (hurt). Those are hard ones because you rely so much on that digit, so it's a tough one."
In other injury news, Rodney Hood was listed as questionable for Thursday's game due to a strained hamstring. Derrick Favors and Alec Burks remain out.
