SAN ANTONIO (AP) — The San Antonio Spurs' nine-game win streak is history. The Orlando Magic got 18 points from Serge Ibaka (ih-BAH'-kah) and upset the host Spurs 95-83 despite 21 points from Kawhi (kuh-WY') Leonard.
MILWAUKEE (AP) — There was another stunning upset in the NBA last night. Giannis Antetokounmpo (YAHN'-ihs ahn-teh-toh-KUHN'-poh) tied a career high with 34 points and grabbed 12 rebounds as the Milwaukee Bucks stunned the Cleveland Cavaliers 118-101.
NEW ORLEANS (AP)— Anthony Davis had 41 points and 16 rebounds, helping the New Orleans Pelicans dominate the Los Angeles Lakers 105-88. Jrue (ZHROO) Holiday scored 22 points in his first start this season for the Pelicans.
UNDATED (AP) — Oregon has fired coach Mark Helfrich after a disappointing 4-8 season even though he had a 37-16 record in four seasons. Helfrich led the Ducks to the first College Football Playoff championship game two years ago.
CHICAGO (AP) — The Chicago Cubs have a new center fielder after Jon Jay agreed to an $8 million, one-year contract. That probably signals the end of free agent Dexter Fowler's time with the World Series champions. Jay batted .291 with two homers and 26 RBIs in 90 games with San Diego last season.
