This is Fred Ball for Zions Bank, speaking on business.

I think it was Shakespeare who said, "The course of true love never did run smooth."

Well, to help keep your love life smooth, let me remind you this Monday is St. Valentine's Day. May I suggest a great gift? C. Kay Cummings Candies, often referred as "the ultimate in fine candies," can make any Valentine's Day complete. The Cummings family has specialized in homemade, hand-dipped chocolates for 80 years.

I live around the corner from C. Kay Cummings Candies, located just east of 20th E. on 33rd S. I had a nice visit with Marilyn Oakey, the manager. She explained that Buzz Woods, a local businessman with diverse business interests, purchased C. Kay Cummings Candies from Clyde Kay in 1999. Since his daughter married Clyde's son, Buzz was well aware of the product and image of C. Kay Cummings Candies. This gave him a strong desire to continue and perpetuate the great Cummings tradition.

Marilyn had a strong business background and had known Buzz for many years. She told me how exciting it has been for her to work with the company's wonderful products and employees, some of which have been with Cummings Candies for more than 30 years.

The employees are proud to create individual taste sensations worthy of the term "gourmet." Fine chocolate coatings are blended to compliment the buttery caramels and delicate cream centers. Fresh, whole nuts are also smothered in smooth, rich chocolate.

C. Kay Cummings does business with some of America's finest hotels, resorts and cruise lines. You know those nice candies found on pillows after the nightly turndown service? Well, the C. Kay Cummings Trafalgar Square Mints and Grand Medallion guest amenity chocolates are some of the top-quality treats used by fine properties all over the world.

Don't forget Monday is Valentine's Day. A trip to C. Kay Cummings on 33rd S. could make you the sweetheart of the year.

For Zions Bank, I'm Fred Ball. I'm speaking on business.
