This is Fred Ball for Zions Bank, speaking on business.
Don Anderson always loved cars. He would use his mom's garage to work on the automobiles of friends and family as a young man growing up in Cache County. When he was 20 years old, Don realized he had the desire and expertise to start a business. The year was 1966, marking the beginning of Don's Collision Repair.
Don was good at the trade, but his great success came from his genuine and caring personality and his ability to be a superior listener. His strong desire to please his customers generated a great deal of referrals and repeat business.
Don tragically suffered a fatal battle with cancer and passed away in 2001. His wife, Cathy, was always somewhat involved with the business and very supportive, but she never contemplated that someday she would find it necessary to become the owner and manager.
By necessity, Cathy took the reigns of leadership with the support of her children, Michael, Kristen and Matthew, as well as great employees, led by Lex Smith, who had been with the company since 1975.
The impressive facility in Millville, Utah doesn't have the appearance of a body shop. Workload necessitated several expansions, and the facility provides an outstanding atmosphere for quality work. Collision repair, painting and the towing operation are on-site, but an impound lot is also located in Logan. All technicians at Don's Collision Repair are I-CAR certified, and the company is a direct repair facility for most insurance companies.
Millville is in a rural area, but customers from all over Cache Valley and the Bear Lake area use Cathy's services. Cathy is optimistic about the future, as each year has generated an increase in business.
For Zions Bank, I'm Fred Ball. I'm speaking on business.
