Read KSL's Take here SALT LAKE CITY (September 10, 2008) - The Utah Jazz today released the television schedule for the 2008-09 season and for the fourth straight year, all 82 games will be televised. And for the first time, the Jazz will also televise all seven preseason games. This season 16 regular season games will air on KJZZ-TV and 60 regular season games will be televised by FSN Utah. The remaining six regular season games will be televised exclusively by TNT. For the fourth straight season, Craig Bolerjack will team with long-time Jazz analyst Ron Boone on all KJZZ-TV and FSN Utah broadcasts.
All 76 broadcasts on KJZZ-TV and FSN Utah will feature a 30-minute pre- and postgame show, "Jazz Live," which is hosted by David James, Thurl Bailey and Pace Mannion.
Legendary Jazz broadcaster "Hot" Rod Hundley enters his 35th season calling Jazz games as he will once again broadcast the games on radio for 1320 KFAN/B98.7 and the Jazz Radio Network. David Locke will host the pre-game show on 1320 KFAN.
"With the addition of all seven preseason games, this will be the first year in our history that our fans will be able to watch and listen to every game the Jazz play," said Chris Baum, Senior Vice President of Broadcasting for the Utah Jazz. "We're very fortunate to have dedicated partners like FSN Utah, KJZZ-TV and 1320 KFAN that make this possible. With our expert team of broadcasters and analysts all returning, we're looking forward to another great season of Jazz basketball."
KJZZ-TV will tip off its broadcast schedule by televising all seven preseason games. KJZZ-TV will then carry 16 regular season games (12 home, 4 away), beginning with the November 5 game vs. Portland.
FSN Utah, which will carry 60 regular season games (25 home, 35 away), opens its broadcast schedule with the Jazz's regular season opener October 29 against the Denver Nuggets. FSN Utah has been the regional television home for the Utah Jazz since the 1988-89 season.
