LetterPress Software in North Logan, Utah is in the business of not only providing exciting, innovative and beautifully designed software for learning, but interactive experiences for those who desire to maximize their learning as well.
Dr. Leston Drake, president of LetterPress Software, told me about three colleagues who did research on interactive learning at Utah State University in 1997. They decided to combine their talents and expertise to form Letterpress Software. The founders, and now 10 other employees, are experts in designing and developing technology-based instruction and educational software. These experienced instructional designers and software developers create educational content, instructional simulations, animated tutorials and other e-learning curriculum to meet a variety of learning objectives.
I had the opportunity to view a training program that is designed for teachers who have disciplinary problems in the classroom. This series of interactive simulations supports positive classroom management skills to increase student participation and reduce disruptive behaviors. Since classroom deportment has changed dramatically for the worse since my own school years, I am confident this program is of great need and value.
I'm a history buff, so I enjoyed seeing the American history programs. What a great experience to not only learn, but to have the means and ability to apply what is learned about history! The series teaches many topics, but I was particularly interested in the Underground Railroad, the Battle of Bunker Hill and the Story of the Union Blockade, along with other great topics regarding the history of this great country.
LetterPress Software has a vast array of software for its clients, which range from giants in government and publishing to families and individuals who want to learn more. This company provides the incentives and means for turning knowledge into practical benefits.
