Colorado State fights off pesky Division II Fort Lewis 84-75

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) — Emmanuel Omogbo had 20 points and 15 rebounds and Che Bob added 20 points as Colorado State held off Division II-member Fort Lewis College 84-75 on Wednesday night.

Omogbo's layup with 1:42 remaining gave Colorado State (2-0) a 78-72 lead and Omogbo, Prentiss Nixon and J.D. Paige each sank two free throws in the closing seconds to seal it.

Braden Koelliker had 11 rebounds and eight points for the Rams.

Fort Lewis led 31-30 at the half after building a nine-point lead on Dontez Thomas' layup making it 22-13 with 7:07 to play before the break. The Skyhawks led for 21 minutes of the contest.

Riley Farris and Joshua Blaylock each scored 19 points for Fort Lewis, which counted it as an exibition. Rasmus Bach added 14 points and 12 rebounds.
