NEW YORK (AP) — President-elect Donald Trump continues to break with protocol by not always being accessible to the press pool that normally accompanies the president at all times. After the Trump transition team told the press the next president was in for the day, he and his entourage took off for dinner at a nearby restaurant. Trump later tweeted, despite all indications, that the transition process is "very organized."
ISLAMABAD (AP) — Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and the country's powerful army chief will personally observe military exercises in an area near the Indian border on Wednesday. The drills come three days after Indian fire killed seven Pakistani soldiers in the disputed Kashmir region. Officials say planes, tanks, artillery and other heavy weapons will be used during the exercises.

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — What appears to be a cold-blooded killing has left a Southwest Airlines employee dead at the airport in Oklahoma City. Police say the gunman lay in wait just outside Will Rogers World Airport in a parking garage overlooking the crime scene. After sealing off the terminal, police found the shooter dead in a pickup truck, apparently from a self-inflicted wound.
CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — The jury hearing the South Carolina murder trial of a white former police officer accused of killing an unarmed black motorist will watch a recreation video on Wednesday. Lawyers for former North Charleston officer Michael Slager lost a bid to keep the jury from seeing the video. Bystander cell phone video they've already seen shows Walter Scott being shot multiple times in the back as he ran from a traffic stop.
