WEST POINT, N.Y. (AP) — Luke Morrison hit 4 of 6 from 3-point range and finished with 14 points, Jordan Fox scored 12 points with five assists and Army cruised to a 91-53 win over Division III Mount Saint Mary on Tuesday night.
It was coach Jimmy Allen's first win at Army (1-1).
Morrison hit two 3s and Jacob Kessler and Thomas Funk each hit one during a 16-3 run to open the game. Mount St. Mary used a 10-2 run to trim its deficit to 33-31 with 5:03 left in the first half, but John Emezie's 3-point play with 1:43 left capped a 15-1 run and Army led by double figures the rest of the way.
T.J. Patsalos led Mount St. Mary with 14 points. Gerard Nocera added 11 with seven rebounds.
Army hit 15 3-pointers and outrebounded Mount Saint Mary 61-26, including 20-5 on the offensive glass.
