EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) — The Giants got the better of the Bengals in the NFL game last night, winning 21-20. Eli Manning threw for three touchdowns and completed 28 of 44 for 240 yards. The Giants are now 6-3, while the Bengals ae 3-5-1.

UNDATED (AP) — Major League Baseball has dished out its Rookie of the Year Awards. The winner in the American League is Detroit pitcher Michael Fulmer, who was 11-7 with a 3.06 earned run average. In the National League the winner was Corey Seager of the Dodgers after hitting .308 with 26 home runs and 72 runs batted in.

CLEVELAND (AP) — Cleveland and Toronto fought down to the wire last NBA season for best record in the Eastern Conference. The Cavaliers won that battle and eliminated the Raptors in the playoffs. So far this season each team is off to a good start and tonight they are meeting in Cleveland.

UNDATED (AP) — Duke remains the top team in The Associated Press men's basketball poll. The Blue Devils received 58 of 65 first place votes after winning their first two games. The rest of the top-five features Kentucky, Villanova, Oregon and North Carolina.

NEW YORK (AP) — Duke, the No. 1 team in the AP men's basketball poll, is in New York taking part in a doubleheader. The Blue Devils are facing seventh-ranked Kansas, while second-ranked Kentucky is playing No. 13 Michigan State.
