(KSL News) Police say a fight escalated into a nearly fatal brawl, then a stabbing overnight in West Valley City.
Police say several gang members arrived at a party at Shadow Brook Apartments at 3860 S. Redwood Road.
A fight broke out a short time later.
Five to six gang members assaulted two people, according to police.
One victim was stabbled multiple times and flown to the hospital, but he's now in stable condition.
The other victim was hit in the head with a 45 pound dumb bell and he refused medical treatment.
