Beneficial Life, Utah’s oldest life insurance company, announced it is changing its name to Beneficial Financial Group. The change is to reflect Beneficial’s expansion of services.

Columbia College of Missouri’s Salt Lake City Campus announced new Credit for Prior Learning opportunities effective August 1st. In addition to standard tests and course test-outs, Columbia will also allow students to submit portfolios outlining their prior learning. Faculty will then evaluate these portfolios for possible awarding of credit.

Applications for MountainWest Venture Group’s annual Utah 100 awards are being accepted through August 9th. Go to www.mwvg.org for more information.
