I've often thought that it's only possible for people with a certain body type and just the right genetic make-up to have excellent physiques, but after talking to the owners at Total Health & Fitness, I'm beginning to think otherwise.

It turns out that through utilizing modern science and nutrition, Total Health & Fitness can help just about any client loose inches and gain the physique they desire.

Rick Plenart, Wes Barney and Mike Butler founded Total Heath & Fitness more than a year ago. As personal trainers at a national gym, the three formed the Sandy based company after seeing the need for a program that uses both nutrition and exercise to achieve total body transformation.

Rick tells me that the three of them began working in the fitness industry because of their fascination with diet and exercise. He says it's this understanding of the science behind nutrition and exercise that allows them to help clients achieve an incredible physique in a short amount of time.

Rick tells me that every consultant who works for Total Health & Fitness must have at least two years of experience as a personal trainer and be nationally certified in nutrition.

Total Health & Fitness's average program is 12 weeks long and focuses on nutritional and physical consulting. The program is tailored to an individual's gender, age, activity-level and body type. It outlines specific nutritional guidelines and teaches clients proper exercise form and technique. Combined, this information and training gives clients the know-how to become toned and to lose fat and inches, while gaining self-confidence and a healthy, beautiful body.

Rick tells me that in addition to personal consulting, Total Health & Fitness offers free office seminars on weight loss that focus on proper nutritional health.
