HALLOWEENTOWN, USA— Haunted houses aren’t Utah’s only claim to Halloween spirit fame. Ghost tours are another way to get your spook this Halloween.
If you like ghost stories and real haunted houses, any of these ghost tours will leave you happily scared.
Provo Bike Ghost Tour
Ride through the creepy side of Provo with Pedal Provo Ghost Tours on either your own bike or a rental. The tour will last about 90 minutes and is low-intensity, so there’s no need to train beforehand. Single tickets are $10 and a date night special, which includes two tickets, is $16. There are only three more dates to enjoy this tour: Oct. 15, 22 and 29.
Grimm Ghost Tours
Visit some of the oldest buildings in Salt Lake City and decide for yourself if they’re actually haunted or not. This tour will not only give you history of the city, but will give you the Halloween thrill you’re looking for.
There are three tours to choose from, the SLC Cemetery tour, the Old Town Tour and the Outer Reaches Tour and each is about an hour and a half long. Admission is $25 for adults and $13 for those ages 5-12 who purchase their tickets online. Tickets are $2 more when purchased on-site.
Ogden and Salt Lake City Ghost Tours
These story tours are offered in Ogden and in Salt Lake City and are given by professional storytellers. Walking tours and bus tours are available and last from 1 1/2 to 2 hours each. Both Ogden and Salt Lake City offer one bus tour and two walking tours. Admission for adults is $20, $18 for students/seniors and $15 for a child or group. Ogden and Salt Lake City tours are running until Oct. 31.
Park City Ghost Tours
This 70-minute ghost tour around historic downtown Park City is offered nightly at 8 p.m. Adults are admitted for $20 and those ages 16 and under are admitted for $10. Groups of 20 or more get a 20 percent discount and tickets can be purchased from the guide at the start of the tour.
