THIS IS LANE BEATTIE, PRESIDENT OF THE SALT LAKE CHAMBER, WITH YOUR METRO BUSINESS REPORT

A survey by Accountemps recently asked executives to share some of the most unusual reasons employees have given to request time off. Here are some of the requests:

“I just got a new tattoo and need a few days to recover”

“I need time to find myself”

“I need three weeks off to travel Europe. Starting tomorrow.”

“My cat has hairballs.” and

“I need a leave of absence to try another job. But if it doesn’t work out I’d like to come back.”

The Salt Lake Military Salute is Saturday, February 7th. The keynote speaker will be Lieutenant General Hal Moore, played by Mel Gibson in the movie “We Were Soldiers.” To register, call the Chamber at 328-5050, or see us on the web at saltlakechamber.org.
