A missing ring has found its way back to Utah from half way around the world. But who does it belong to?
The ring was found in a bathroom in Germany in the 1960s and anonymously mailed to Weber State from Texas last week.

Weber State Associate Director of Alumni Relations Margie Esquibel told the Ogden Standard-Examiner the initials on the ring are MWR. "We just want to find the rightful owner, hopefully in time for homecoming because that would be a nice connection," she said.
The year 1969 is on the ring, but it came with a note saying it was found in 1966 or 1967 in Germany. The man who sent it says he just doesn't know why he kept it all these years.
The ring appears to be a man's setting. It has a red center stone with the initials MWR engraved and the year 1969.
Esquibel told the Standard-Examiner, "You know, it's like one of those dogs that gets lost from its owner and travels thousands of miles to home, and you think, ‘I wish you could talk!'"
Weber State has checked its records but hasn't matched the initials that are on the ring.
The ring's manufacturer has a database, but it doesn't go back to the 60s.
